As part of this year’s Festival of Social Science, coinciding with Youth Work Week, Let’s talk about LGBT+ youth work! This free online event will showcase what LGBT+ youth work is, and what it can do, from a range of different perspectives, including youth workers, young people, parents/carers, and researchers.

Wednesday 9.11.22, 5-7pm

If you’ve ever wanted to ask questions about what LGBT+ youth work involves, or discuss how best to showcase and protect it, then this is your chance! We will have short inputs from a range of speakers, and ample time for discussion and sharing good practice. The event is being organised by Professor Eleanor Formby (Sheffield Hallam University) and Dr Jo Woodiwiss (University of Huddersfield), working closely with staff from the Brunswick Centre in West Yorkshire.

The event is open to anyone interested in supporting and empowering LGBT+ young people, including young people, their families, and those who work with young people (teachers, youth workers, social workers, etc etc).

To register for the event please go to https://lgbtyouthwork.eventbrite.com.
