I hold a Diploma in Social Work from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences from 2003 and started studies to get a MSc degree in 2016. I have been working in different fields of Child and Youth Welfare and Care in Zurich Siwtzerland. Currently, I am wirting my Mastersthesis to get the MSc degree with the topic of the siutation of Asylum Seekers/refugees in Switzerland when the reason for their asylum claim is their sexual orientation or gender identity. This field has not been researched in Switzerland before and I have conducted 10 explorative interviews with asylum seekers and professionals as well as activists with the goal to find out which topics and areas need further research and/or action in the practic field of social work in the institutions and organisations with clients who identify as LGBT+.
